luca agnelli is a dj in constant evolution, that has done of variety of styles his trademark, experimenting uncommon paths and inventing innovative languages.
he has done remixes for claude von stroke, flat pack, meg and others, he has realized ep for some of the most representative international labels like mbf, dirty bird, laterra, manocalda, takt, mazoom.
now, a new experience, his own label, etruria beat records, a name that emphasizes his vocation to be connected with his land, a style, and at same time, unmistakably italian, but with a global vision. house, deep and techno that intersect, maintaining in the centre of his creative universe the concept of emotion.

its been a while since the last release by mark august on connaisseur, but now hes back with an extraordinary one. two tracks, both like a fairytale of a country far, far away. a fable, with mystic and mysterious animals and creatures, might best describe what mark had in mind while working on the tracks. the wasps from tunisia and the silver piggy – the main track on this release is an uncommon piece of music. it starts moody and with a stoic pumping beat, yet also a somehow laidback feeling. it then unexpectedly and surprisingly builds up to a monster of a track, working manically towards its climax. then however, over the length of the track, it completely transforms again, coming back to its beginning, as though nothing had ever happened. scorpions groove is a deep and dubby affaire.

karolin müller is the first female artist in the hi freaks family and blinky is her long awaited first release. blinky starts with a subversive retro groove, the loop is driven by a flanged hihat and ends up in a funny, funky break, where the theme hits the track and pushes it too the next level. our swedish pac man agaric eats >blinky< alive and gives him a very rough and hypnotic treatment with his remix on the b-side. snake, rattle n roll: the title is just perfect to caracterise this track, imagine a snake winding through a synthesiser modulating itsself over and over again, sounds weired... thats what it is ... a great uncommon halucinating track…

when iridite started out they really wanted it to represent a wide selection of electronic music - at the time, many of the bigger labels (and many independent ones too) seemed content to pigeon hole everything, generating sub label after sub label, each with its own micro-scene or genre. over the years we feel we ve done a pretty good job of steering clear of the obvious but we were still lacking a little in one important area - house music. although >ga< isnt straight down the line standard house music, it s instrumentation, simple repeating bassline and beats give forward motion that fits nicely with a more old school version of house along with some percussive vocal stabs and eventually, a huge synth string climax- like a cross between early ron trent, fingers inc and kenny larkin. the b side gives us two tracks from one of the most talented young producers working in the field today - jamie greer, who s tha poke guise gave us one of the highlights of ir004 (uncommon sense), moves >fall fwd< in strong style with his unique take on the (original) detroit sound - remaining completely individual, his sound is instantly familiar and yet never derivative or tired. both tracks have the energy to survive on the dance floor but the subtlety and depth to bear repeated listening at home - proper techno
